Global Data Coordinator

Role Objective The role supports global data transfer operations by carrying out two main functions

1. Working with uploading hardware files daily

2. Coordinating global processes remotely.

This role is 100% onsite in a workshop environment in Palo Alto, CA

Role & Responsibilities
  • Work with hardware to carry out manual tasks daily that require the handling of electronic devices and machines.
  • Coordinate a range of Data Transfer related operations in an assigned region and globally where required; monitoring the availability and use of physical assets, and report where processes are not performed by other teams as defined.
  • Supervise inventory via dashboards and redistribute if necessary.
  • Regularly liaise with software and hardware engineering as well as logistics teams.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating projects, provide regular progress updates, lead meetings and take minutes, keep documentation up-to-date and efficiently prioritize own workload.
  • Monitor data transfer processes and datasets stored in the cloud and highlight inconsistencies.
  • Ability to apply information from complex dashboards.
  • Carry out daily, weekly and bi-weekly checks related to the main workflows and bring up issues in a timely manner.
  • Required to take ownership of the role and tasks, and to be a trusted point of contact.
  • Be part of a multinational team, collaborate to standardize global processes, communicate objectively and openly, drive discussions and be curious.
  • Anticipate the needs of customers by actively listening and keeping up to date with changing environments and strategic directions.
  • Anticipate problems before they arise by addressing early warning signs, prioritize tasks based on business needs, importance and vitality.
  • Occasionally attend meetings outside of normal work hours when required
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $80,000/ year depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
