Job Description

Join our winning team as aSenior Electrical Engineer. This role will be located at an Olin manufacturing site in North America. Locations include Freeport, TX; Charleston, TN; McIntosh, AL; Plaquemine, LA; St. Gabriel, LA; or Niagara Falls, NY.

In your role as a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will report to the Director of Electrical Technology and will be responsible for providing overall technical support to the CAVeT (Chlor Alkali & Vinyls Electrical Technology Center) electrical engineers and associated operating production plants. The role will also be responsible for sharing experiences and expertise through the mentorship of CAVeT electrical engineers as well as ensuring the harmonization and implementation of electrical standards and practices across the company.


Senior Electrical Engineer Essential Job Functions:

  • Support harmonization and implementation of electrical safety, maintenance, operating discipline, reliability standards and practices.
  • Work with Director of Electrical Global Technology to review and set priorities for the electrical technology group in addition to managing other day to day activities.
  • Provide technical support and coaching to CAVeT electrical engineers.
  • Provide technical support to Olin sites for maintenance, reliability, projects, root cause analyses (RCA), and electronic management of change (eMOC) reviews.
  • Perform work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional material and/or difficult coordination requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering efforts in assigned areas between other engineering groups or disciplines, suppliers and contractors and between any other groups as required to gather or communicate information.
  • Plan and conduct independent work within a global business unit that requires judgment in evaluating, selecting, applying, and adapting engineering techniques, procedure and criteria.
Senior Electrical Engineer Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree* in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree* preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering and design and technical support in a manufacturing operations environment; chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 50% or more of the time, and must be able to obtain a valid US passport.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA and IEC electrical codes.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
  • Prior Olin experience in a related role preferred.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $148,000 - $217,000. This salary is only an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
