Job Description

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Human Resources Generalist located in Orlando, Florida.

The primary role of the HR Generalist is to provide Human Resources support to the HR Department, managers and employees. The position will be responsible for employee administration of assigned contracts or location.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for onboarding and out-processing of assigned employees - ensure both entry and exit actions related to employees are performed timely and accurately. (e.g. benefits, training, system access, etc.)
  • Respond timely and accurately to requests for forms and information, performance review scheduling, attendance and leave tracking, policy or process information.
  • Facilitate receipt and processing of employee documents and perform data entry as required to set up and maintain employee HRIS records. Create and maintain employee files.
  • Enroll, cancel and assist in employee actions relating to benefits, life events and COBRA.
  • Present New Employee Orientation
  • Process paperwork associated with company programs such as: Employee Development Reimbursement Program, Employee Referral Program, etc.
  • Maintains HR Reporting: Service Contract Act (SCA), modifies HRIS and creates and generates reports as needed
  • Compliance Quality Checks: I-9s, Restricted Parties, etc.
  • Assist with setup and administration of annual Open Enrollment. Resolve plan level benefit questions and issues. Perform research as requested. Assist with reconciliation of benefits bills.
  • Assist with or facilitate employee morale actions and company events.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Associate degree in Human Resources or related field is required. (Bachelors degree preferred)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Three or more (3+) year's of related experience
  • PHR or other professional certifications are preferred.
  • Must have strong command of Excel and Word.
  • Communication skills must be professional, clear and accurate.
  • Timely responses to queries from employees and managers is required.
  • Organization, prioritization and follow through are all essential to success in this position.
  • Correct grammar, courtesy, and timeliness of response are required in all email communications.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 5%, without restriction to distance or time away
