Your role will involve utilizing engineering judgment to review and make recommendations for new project proposals, including assessing the scope of work, work breakdown structures, and cost/work-hour estimates for preliminary and final agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting engineering hydraulic studies for projects within the current county M213 program, applying your knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and codes. Another aspect of your job will be to prepare scope of work and preliminary cost estimates for betterments and 711 maintenance contracts, ensuring that they are completed by the specified due dates. You will also be required to conduct field surveys using various equipment to gather necessary information for maintenance teams, providing them with guidance and details for constructing pipe replacements and slope repairs. Furthermore, you will be responsible for conducting quality assurance reviews on maintenance pipe replacement projects to ensure compliance with current PennDOT standards.
