Description/Job Summary
Assists the Operator in producing a good quality product safely and efficiently while performing sonic, hand trim, die cut cleaning, and packaging duties. Recognizing the difference in the quality of product according to the standard and/or customer requirements.
Responsibilities/Duties
  1. Ensures that the workplace is safe, professional, and clean by upholding company THM practices (i.e. 5S, OCS, Safety, Recycle).
  2. Clean, inspect, and stack the product according to standard or customer requirements.

Examples include, but are not limited to, cleaning the work area, checking product dimensions, checking die cut quality, cleaning die cut holes, etc.

  1. Assists the Operator in the upkeep of the machine and assists in set up for production runs.

Examples include, but are not limited to adjusting knives, visually monitor and observe for any machining safety issues, etc.

  1. Assists coworkers as needed to maintain levels of production.
  2. Package materials according to Coroplast standards of packaging.
  3. Hand trims Laminate
  4. Weld boxes
  5. Sort material as needed
  6. Assist in installation and uninstallation of dies on die cutter workstations.
  7. Notify Operator, Lead, or Supervisor of any issues or defects.
  8. Assists with periodic inventory sessions as needed.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Be available for overtime.
  • Complete basic math such as adding, dividing, subtracting, percentages, etc.
  • Must be able to read a ruler to 1/16"
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.

B. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE

  • Slitter machines, die cutter machines and laminators.
  • Lite maintenance tools
  • Sonic and hand welders
  • Knives (utility and trim knives)
  • Lite measuring devices (tape measures etc.)
  • Safety: (ear plugs, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, etc.)


C. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

  1. Climbing, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
  2. Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist.

Example: Changing paper in printer/copier machine.

3. Kneeling and crouching, bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

5. Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Example: Giving signals, reaching for material or handle on item.

6. Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.

7. Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.

8. Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

9. Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

DEGREE OF LIFTING: 26-50 LBS.

10. Fingering, picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.

11. Grasping, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.

12. Feeling, perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

13. Talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; via face to face or telephone.

14. Repetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Example: starting ignition of machinery.


D. VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

  1. Machine operation, inspection, close assembly.

Example: extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, using measurement devices or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

  1. Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.

E. WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION

1. Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.

2. Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, or high heat.
