Bring our games to life by creating eye-catching visual effects and animations for slot machines. Lead the animation team through the development process-set priorities, solve problems, remove obstacles, and facilitate communication. The ability to translate a game designer's vision into an actionable plan for the animation team, give and receive constructive feedback, and provide direction to a creative team is essential.

• Collaborate with the game artist to conceptualize and create compelling 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for game logos, symbols, backgrounds, and features

• Manage a team of individual contributors, keeping them motivated, informed, and engaged

• Maintain excellent animation quality in regard to timing, style, and impact

• Understand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics (e.g., rendering, streaming, memory management, playback performance, etc.)

• Communicate and collaborate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development process

• Mentor junior animators in related studios and throughout Game Development

• Maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work

• Archive all final working files for future use using version control software

• Contribute to overall Game Development department culture

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in 2D/3D animation and/or motion graphic design

• 2+ years of professional experience leading teams, managing animators, and/or providing project art direction

• Gaming industry experience is preferred, but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Enjoy working in a creative environment

• Have a strong sense of design, motion, and timing

• Have a strong sense of storyboarding for 2D/3D animation

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment

• Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions

• Ability to adapt to new technologies

• Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

• Proficiency in 3D animation a plus (3DS Max preferred)

• Proficiency in compositing and rotoscoping a plus

• Familiarity with Unity a plus

• Familiarity with shaders and shader creation/coding a plus

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
