Job Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Plans, organizes and implements speech and language therapy treatment activities and programs which are consistent with the program philosophy of the facility. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide appropriate care based on the age of the client served. Completes appropriate clinical assessment on each referred client Implements competent treatment and performs regular re-assessment for the purpose of treatment modification, to maximize the clients potential for their highest level of functioning Observes, records, and reports client progress, technical observations and results. Consults with medical personnel and other professionals concerning individual treatment and participates in treatment planning. Conducts case presentations and consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered. Collaborates in the development of standards of practice and training programs in support of effective, evidence-based practices. Assists with the development, oversight and implementation of research and grant-funded activities.
