Job Description

Physician Recruiters oversee recruitment activities and work directly with Mercy executive leadership. They develop specific recruitment plans, communicate plans to stakeholders, and provide regular updates on progress. They lead all aspects of the physician recruitment process and promotional activities to attract prospective physicians to the Oklahoma City, Ardmore and Ada communities.

Qualified applicants will possess and maintain in-depth working knowledge and understanding of physicians, as well as national trends affecting them and healthcare organizations. Recognizes the importance and challenges specific to recruitment to rural locations and/or specialties. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, coordinating and executing recruitment strategies to attract highly skilled and specialized physicians for Oklahoma City and surrounding communities
  • Sourcing and developing relationships with candidates, following them through the entirety of the recruitment process
  • Initiating screenings, attend interviews, site and community visits
  • Negotiates employment offers
  • Serves as liaison between candidates and Mercy leadership

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience: 3+ years physician recruitment experience. Practice or Clinic Management experience considered.
  • Other:
    • Microsoft Office proficient
    • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking/Management Systems Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written
    • Excellent time management and organization skills
    • Natural orientation to customer service and marketing
    • High Speed Internet connection required
