Job Description

As a Regulatory Affairs team member, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with many colleagues in the bank, both regionally and globally, across multiple lines of businesses.

You and Your Job

The Regulatory Exam Management Officer will manage the regulatory interaction prior to, during and after regulatory examinations, mainly focusing on Wholesale and Rural (WR) entities, but also assisting with regulatory communications and exam management for our affiliated companies De Lage Landen (DLL) U.S., among others.

The officer is a key point of contact with regulators through all phases of the examination process, again mainly focusing on the Wholesale and Rural division but also providing support for other entities. The officer executes and effectively manages regulatory examinations for the Bank and, in doing so, helps maintain a positive and productive relationship with the Bank's regulators.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics with the regulator's examiner-in-charge regarding the examination.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings between the Rabobank staff and examination teams and prepare bank personnel for exam interactions; lead meetings involving personnel and examiners.
  • Conduct Exam training to bank personnel for exam interactions and preparedness.
  • Organize exam kick-off meetings, status meetings, and exam closure meetings.
  • Provide key notes and actions items resulting from examination meetings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regulatory letters such as first day letters, examination reports, including exam remediation and status update letters with Management and relevant key stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely responses to examination reports are provided to regulators (including liaise with DLL U.S. on regional examinations).
  • Provide quality control; review exam materials and ongoing supervision items.
  • Maintain a centralized repository with all regulatory exam schedules/status, examination requests and management responses.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding examinations status and issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulators, always demonstrating a culture of compliance, transparency, and building credibility through the proactive management of regulatory relationships (WR and DLL U.S.).
  • Routinely assess the examination process and make improvements to meet regulatory expectations.
  • Contribute to the Compliance MIS reporting by providing written monthly and as needed updates on the status of examinations.

To be considered for the Regulatory Examination Management Officer role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience with regulatory affairs, regulatory relations, or regulatory examination management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (express thoughts and ideas in a clear/concise manner).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and inquiries with strict deadlines.
  • Effectively builds relationships with all levels of employees at the bank, locally and globally, and with supervisory teams/examiners of regulatory agencies.
  • Highly organized and detail/results oriented.
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 15%

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
