Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply fundamental principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.

  • Collaborate with the project team in developing plans, specifications and estimates of electrical designs such as roadway lighting systems, rail traction power systems, and building electrical systems.

  • Prepare electrical design packages according to specific guidelines, conforming to client standards, and compliant with applicable design standards, building, and energy codes.

  • Design LED-based illumination system; including energy efficiency and lighting controls.

  • Design power distribution system with voltages up to 15KV, including UPS, emergency and standby generator design from the ground up.

  • Design telecommunication systems including telephone, data, LAN, and public addresssystems.

  • Design security systems, intrusion detection system, surveillance CCTV system, and access control system.

  • Design fire alarm systems per NFPA requirements.

  • Interface directly with clients, and designers and engineers from other disciplines and consultants.

  • Self-produce electrical drawing packages or work with a team of production staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University with 0-3 years of experience in electrification detailed design and consultancy.

  • Or, demonstrated 3+ years of experience as a designer in electrification detailed design and consultancy.

  • Experience in transportation systems, preferred.

  • EIT and on track to obtain PE, preferred.

  • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and AGi32.

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in SKM Power tools.

  • Knowledge of local, state, and national codes.

  • Good leadership and organization skills, a self-starter.

  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.


Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$63,000 - $113,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
