The salary range for this role, based in New York is $188,200.00 to $258,700.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The Head of Commercial Marketing Strategy and Deployment is a key role in driving the execution of PRUSA's business strategy. She/He is a senior leader within the business driving two-way connectivity and accountability between Marketing, Sales and Finance, with influencing needs for the CODI and all cross functional leaders. They are accountable for building and strengthening PRUSA commercial marketing activity planning through a portfolio lens; They own and oversee all field at-pop A&P (At POO + LMF+ EG of approx. $115M) funding deployment strategy that provides guidance to Field Marketing and Sales teams in alignment with monetization and growth plans; They enable field at-pop A&P spend related decision making, with arbitrating decisions rights as needed with Field Marketing and Sales leadership and ensure cross functional alignment based on market needs and performance; They will take leadership of the new Quarterly Integrated OPCO (with CODI attendance) meetings to provide unified business performance review with forward planning visibility and perspectives that enable organizational decision making through a full enterprise lenses; They drive a disciplined management process that will play a pivotal role in PRUSA enterprise governance, supporting its growth ambitions, while being the one source leader holding the integrity of our company media to self strategy and driving business results through accountability from planning to execution.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities

- PRUSA Planning:

  • Take leadership of the PRUSA Planning process with the influence from CODI/ HQ planning needs to business execution deliver planning needs
  • Enable close collaboration of Marketing, Finance, Operations and Sales processes to deliver a PRUSA planning system that links the functional processes and optimizes for the entire organization - simplify the current
  • Create overall planning calendar that starts with current multi-year planning and evolves to long term vision
  • Hold key stakeholders accountable for the timely and successful delivery of their respective milestones
  • Ensure proper communication and reporting to higher management throughout the planning cycle
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of tools and solutions to elevate planning activities across team
  • Build feedback loops throughout the planning process to continually improve and look to establish a sustainable model aligned with Beyond Budget

- Strategy to Activity Planning:

  • Take Ownership and maintain national master calendar (the north star for all PR programming and media to shelf focus with CODI approval) and oversee local calendar
  • Collaboration with Brand and C/S on the calendar to drive coordination within all stakeholders
  • Work cross functionally with sales (SSPP team and Chief Sales Officer) to align marketing objectives with sales and distributor objectives working collaboratively with CSPP Sales Leadership utilizing Business Insights/Analytics to Brand Marketing, Field Marketing into Sales teams
  • Lead decision-making tools standardization and templates/guidelines development
  • Lead portfolio business performance for PRUSA through adherence to national plans and approved resource allocation. Work cross functionally with Finance to strategically deploy At Pop A&P of approx. $115M (providing full transparency of all A&P spent into the field) to meet our business objectives across divisions, brands and holistically
  • Collaborates with cross functional teams (CSPP, Strategy Insight & Analytics, Finance, Brand, Field Marketing) in the development of commercial marketing plans. Work closely with Brand VP's and Chief Marketing Officer on brand strategy articulation to actional sales strategies

- Program Performance Management Execution:

  • Ensure the appropriate ROI metrics are being used and tracked to measure performance on the field and national level
  • Ensure overall program performance evaluation included the right information to drive insights and tactics
  • Lead feedback loop between Band, Field Marketing, and into our CODI team

- Field At-Pop Deployment Strategy:

  • Owns and develops field at-pop A&P funding strategy with CODI approval and visibility. This includes Field A&P + LMF of approx. $115M, while also providing transparency to all in-field A&P (sponsorships, prestige, Channel/Shopper, VAPS, POS, Communications etc..)
  • Provide framework and oversee guidelines for field at-pop A&P budget spend in collaboration with Finance and Field Marketing teams

- Field At-Pop Ownership, Management & Arbitration:

  • Enable decision-making for local field at-pop A&P adaptation needs. Holds decision/arbitration rights for AT POP spends and closely aligns with Brand, Field Marketing, and CODI). Work closely with VP Field Marketing, Chief of Marketing and Chief of Sales
  • Oversee field at-pop A&P spend in aggregate basis and report

- Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and mentor team supporting career path enhancement and achievement of objectives
  • Demonstrate leadership attributes aligned with PRUSA's core values: deliver through collaboration, growth mindset, bold and agile, drive results, and consumer centricity
  • An enterprise leader at the nerve centre for Commercial marketing and full connectivity across all business functions within PRUSA
  • CODI influencing requirements from planning through execution with a strong holistic business understanding
  • OPCO leadership of VP's across all functions (brand, sales, finance, supply chain)

Job Requirements

The role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across functions with passion and enthusiasm. Must be able to address conflicting priorities and help drive alignment and decision making with pace and grace. Strong entrepreneurial ability to work around obstacles, results driven, and a bias for action with a pilot/learn/scale approach.

  • Education:Minimum of Bachelor's degree - preferably in Marketing or Business Administration; Proficiency in a wide array of office software platforms (MS Outlook & Office).
  • Experience / Background:Minimum 10-15 years of work experience in relevant Marketing/brand management, with significant exposure to National/Regional Customer building activities and sales delivery focus. Previous work experience in sales, or experience working closely with sales in the areas of customer and consumer development. Should have exposure to reviewing and managing budgets, creating marketing plans and negotiating with different stakeholders.
  • Travel: 20%
