Overview

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist is a key member of the Firm's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Department and is responsible for helping advance the Firm's overarching DEI strategy through the development and reporting of in-depth data analytics that monitor and analyze data related to DEI, belonging, and engagement. The DEI Specialist is primarily responsible for developing, utilizing, and completing reports, presentations, and surveys that support the Firm's ability to measure its progress towards its strategic goals. A secondary focus is to support the Firm's inclusive culture through strategic external communications. The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of distilling complex data and translating it into metrics that can influence change. The position will work closely with the Chief DEI Officer, the Director of DEI, and the rest of the DEI Team, as well as other key stakeholders including members of the Human Resources, Marketing and Business Development, Recruiting, Affinity Groups, and Professional Development teams. Position will require you to be on-site at our 55HY Office in NYC on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

    Collect, analyze, and report on statistical diversity data, including mining and management of a broad array of quantitative and qualitative data assets.
  • Manage Firm's completion of external and internal DEI data requests across the globe, including industry surveys, client surveys and RFPs, and internal reports.
  • Develop data standards, provide tangible insights, and make recommendations for process improvement based on best practices.
  • Display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine and refine documentation fields, formulas, data mapping, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all diversity data.
  • Develop and refine external DEI communications used in surveys, RFPs, and on the Firm's external website.
  • Manage the DEI Team's Collaboration tool to enhance collaboration and streamline work deliverables.
  • The employee may be asked to perform additional duties not listed in the job description as required by business needs. Pay $90K-110KDOE
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional analytical skills and capabilities as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (workbook design, cell formulas and function creation, worksheet management, chart design, data set and table manipulation, and pivot table design), Power BI, and PowerPoint (tables, charts, and other formats); interest in learning new software and an ability to adapt to new software quickly.
  • Experience in collecting, reviewing, and organizing data reporting and analysis, using data to tell a story and translate data into impactful reports, tables, graphs, and charts that can influence decisions.
  • Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated interest in DEI and 3-5 years of experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or a corporation a strong plus.
