Position Summary:

The Benefits Analyst, Customer Service role focuses on managing customer service for the benefits team, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. This role with also support the important task of communicating the value of our benefit programs to our associates.

Work You'll Do:

  • Primary focus is building benefit team's reputation on customer service
  • Manage Benefit Center escalations and solve straightforward problems by leveraging technical experience, judgement, precedents, and policies
  • Coordinate and execute New Hire Benefits Orientations
  • Work within guidelines and practices to coordinate service requests with Benefit Center and TPA
  • Interface directly with associates and HR regarding customer service matters
  • Respond to all inquiries from benefits email and voicemail box
  • Provide ongoing communication support, working with Sr. Analyst, Global Benefits
  • Develop and maintain communication calendar
  • Develop and maintain communication repository
  • Develop and maintain benefit department standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Open enrollment testing
  • Responsible for COBRA administration, partnering with TPA
  • Establish controls and processes to improve existing practices in benefits customer service
  • Additional projects and priorities as assigned


Team:

This role will report directly to the Sr. Director, Global Benefits and will become part of the operationally efficient, customer-focused Hillenbrand Benefits Team.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent from a college or university; and a minimum of 1-3 years related benefits experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in benefits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills required
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of federal/state benefit and leave laws
  • Proven customer service experience in the benefits space
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently based on some direction provided from management or senior members of team
  • Detailed and deadline oriented with the ability to prioritize, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Work independently within some direction from management
