Responsibilities

The Human Resources Generalist is directly responsible for day-to-day administration and coordination of the human resources function within the designated program/s and serves as a Business Partner for the local leadership team.

Essential Duties:

    Serve as a business partner with local leadership teams to create a culture of customer service, quality, integrity, and accountability wherein employees are highly engaged and empowered to ensure clients are receiving superior treatment while in a safe and compassionate environment.
  • Responsible for staffing within designated programs to meet staffing ratios and critical position needs; maintains oversight of iCIMS for respective programs to ensure data integrity; coordinates with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; completes background and reference checks as required, extends job offers, and conducts new-employee orientations.
  • Provide support of site's Affirmative Action plan by collaborating with local leadership to create strategies and tactics for goal advancement; monitors progress, establishes contact with diverse organizations to broaden the applicant pool, maintains applicant flow records, communicates with managers and employees to facilitate EEO and Affirmative Action compliance, and reports regularly on goal achievement and ATS data integrity.
  • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Prepare documents and support managers with performance management plans to ensure that all employees receive timely feedback at the designated intervals i.e. 90 days and annual reviews.
  • Responsible for ensuring that benefit information is communicated both timely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues on various initiatives within the company.
  • Ensure all established training requirements are met for each employee.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, the Regional Director of Human Resources, and other members of the leadership team on internal investigations as warranted.
  • Responsible for maintaining department records and personnel files in compliance with all regulatory and licensing bodies.
  • Complete all reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in leadership and departmental staff meetings and attends other meetings as needed.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the employee data within all related systems. Updates information & files timely and accurately as needed for the employee file.
  • Report all workers' compensation and Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) information in a timely manner.
  • Stay abreast of all legal and regulatory requirements and changes respective to locations in which programs are located.
  • Responsible for compliance with all wage and hour practices and is the gatekeeper for determining employee vs. contractor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of human resources experience with no more than two (2) years in an administrative support role.
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • PHR or Human Resources Certificate preferred.
  • Experience in the health care industry and/or residential treatment field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state specific employment and wage and hour law.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Joint Commission and state regulatory requirements as it relates to Human Resources.
  • Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group, a plus.
