Graphic Designer

Our Graphic Designers assist with print-related projects and web design. They are responsible for the development, design and production of quality customer-facing deliverables, while working within corporate guidelines. Key to the position will be creativity, the ability to expertly translate ideas visually, verbally and in writing, and time management to implement high quality professional print media in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned Graphic Design objectives through the innovative application of standard and advanced communication design strategies, spanning the range of activities from the creative conceptual phase through the production phase.
  • Perform a wide variety of graphic design and production duties for print media, point-of-sale, packaging, instructional graphics, catalog and electronic media.
  • Assisting development and refinement of uniform graphic standards and visual brand standards.
  • Responsible for sharing concepts and developing new ideas which follow specific marketing objectives.
  • Perform photo editing, retouching of images, color correction and color management as required.
  • Manage multiple projects on information provided by vendors and internal departments.
  • Act as the first point of contact/trouble-shooter for print production, vendor-related questions/problems as they arise during production.
  • Aid in developing and maintaining the style guide and assist with keeping it enforced.
  • Act as full-time design and production artist for the following: packaging, labels, marketing materials, instruction sheets, customer-specific request and other materials as needed.
  • Act as backup for all others in the department, taking on the responsibilities of team members should the need arise.
  • Monitor documents for adherence to style guide, 'graphic cleanliness' and consistency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Work Experience: 2 years of marketing and/or graphic design experience
  2. Education: Associate's Degree
  3. Computer Skills: Maintain an expert level understanding of latest design applications including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and other software used internally; proficient in Microsoft Office
  4. Organization Skills: Excellent organizational, ability to multi-tasking and shift priorities as needed
  5. Cross-functional Skills: Ability to effectively communicate thought process and collaborate across all functional areas
  6. Communication Skills: Work in a collaborative environment, promoting a high level of cooperation, communication and coordination between the supervisors and associates of all departments, while demonstrating a positive attitude and consideration towards fellow associates and other ideas

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, salaried position working 40-45 hours a week.

Travel:

Travel will be 5% of the role.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be able to pass EVerify.
