Job Description

Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Under general supervision, performs routine tasks including painting (all surfaces), light construction, minor repairs & maintenance on equipment, and installation of basic wall protection. Also performs minor millwork modifications, ceiling tile replacements/basic grid repairs, and door maintenance. Responsible for completing all assigned Work Orders on a timely basis. Schedule or perform routine and urgent services at multiple MMC campuses if needed.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High School education or GED preferred. Building trade education preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 3-5 years of applicable experience in an institution desirable.
    • Knowledge of basic woodworking, painting, wall repair, and drywall taping.
    • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when preparing surfaces.
    • Ability to lift, push, walk and stand for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to safely operate table and radial saws, sander and mixers, and other hand held devices to help complete assigned work.
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain cooperative working relationships with other hospital employees.
    • Work requires ability to use electronic devices such as various hand held and desktop platforms to complete daily activities.
