Position Summary
-
Under general supervision, performs routine tasks including painting (all surfaces), light construction, minor repairs & maintenance on equipment, and installation of basic wall protection. Also performs minor millwork modifications, ceiling tile replacements/basic grid repairs, and door maintenance. Responsible for completing all assigned Work Orders on a timely basis. Schedule or perform routine and urgent services at multiple MMC campuses if needed.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High School education or GED preferred. Building trade education preferred.

License/Certifications: N/A

Experience: 3-5 years of applicable experience in an institution desirable.

Knowledge of basic woodworking, painting, wall repair, and drywall taping.

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when preparing surfaces.

Ability to lift, push, walk and stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to safely operate table and radial saws, sander and mixers, and other hand held devices to help complete assigned work.

Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain cooperative working relationships with other hospital employees.

Work requires ability to use electronic devices such as various hand held and desktop platforms to complete daily activities.
