Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for a Clinical Imaging Specialist (Image Analyst) to join our Imaging Sciences team. In this role you will support internal and external customers in the use of medical imaging (DICOM) software and components of a 3D imaging system. This includes reading, interpreting, and measuring medical images for case planning and device selection purposes, primarily for cardiovascular interventional products, as well as executing image post-processing tasks and providing anatomical and technical interpretation of image sets.

This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide anatomic and technical interpretation/subject matter expertise of images and processes using medical imaging (DICOM) software and a 3D imaging system
  • Perform image post-processing for research and development teams
  • Report, communicate, and discuss image review with Gore Associates to help select appropriate cases for use with various Gore medical devices
  • Assist with the management of film reading procedures/protocols, including creating and maintaining procedures to reflect the current workflow for commercial and / or investigational product use
  • Be a high-level resource for internal and external customers, using comprehensive understanding of medical imaging and clinical knowledge to answer questions, train, solve problems, and prioritize
  • Work in close cooperation with Gore Product Specialists, Clinical Research Associates, and field-based Associates
  • Use provided Enterprise communication tools for internal and external communications
  • Identify, drive and or participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of industry and regulatory trends as required to meet business needs and perform the responsibilities of the position
  • Maintain compliance with training expectations as required for the position

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of medical imaging or endovascular therapy experience with Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS), or equivalent experience / credentials in the operating room, Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, Radiology or Cardiology departments, and/or Imaging Core Labs
  • Experience with multiple imaging modalities (CT, CTA, MRI, MRA, ultrasound, angiography, IVUS, Cardiac CTA 3D/4D, etc.) including using image post-processing software
  • Proven success as a team player who uses good judgment and negotiates, develops, and maintains positive relationships with Associates and customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly developed customer service skills for external and internal communications
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize day to day responsibilities including customer support, process development, project initiatives, and team and other meetings/interactions
  • Ability to apply knowledge of surgical and interventional procedures to medical devices for case planning
  • Ability to maintain a working knowledge of, and be flexible relative to, changing products and project commitments
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions with minimal guidance; being flexible and consistent with demonstrated ability to coach/teach/mentor others
  • Ability to travel up to 5% (primarily domestic, including travel between Arizona plants)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding or familiarity with Good Clinical Practices, supporting regulatory audits, and with patient screening data collection and documentation
  • Experience with creation, development, and implementation of image analysis workflows, including clinical trial image protocols and forms
  • Experience identifying, formulating, driving process improvement initiatives and applying project management techniques

Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed. For fully remote roles, the following locations are not eligible for new fully remote work arrangements: Alaska and Hawaii (for all roles), and Rhode Island (for wage/hourly roles only).
