Division of Academic and Student Affairs: The Division of Academic & Student Affairs (DASA) is where students discover connections and community. The division serves all students at NC State through three integrated components: academic affairs, student affairs, and University College. Mission: The Career Development Center prepares and empowers students to identify and pursue their goals. The Career Development Center helps students through every stage of their career development. The Career Development Center serves students with career counseling, workshops and programming to advance their career development, career fairs to foster relationships with employers, and with co-op and internship programs to provide students with hands-on work experience. The Career Counseling team in the Career Development Center leads the Pack by working directly with students in person and virtually through one-on-one settings, in-class workshops/presentations, career fairs, and high-impact programming. Major areas of responsibility for the graduate intern/career counselor include career counseling, assisting with career development presentations for classes and student groups, drop-in counseling hours, maintaining records in ePACK, and assisting with career-related events. The Graduate Intern/Career Counselor will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Career Counseling team with special emphasis on conducting one-on-one counseling sessions to help students prepare to achieve their future career goals. Training is provided to graduate students by our professional staff to assist them in performing these projects and duties.
