Job Summary

This position has overall responsible for the end-to-end functionality, system controls, and business end user support of the ICE Encompass application within the Real Estate Financing team at RBC Bank. Acting as the "Voice of the Business" and "Voice of the Client", this role is accountable for the "system enhancement" budget, prioritizing Change request tickets and enhancements backlog of Encompass application to meet business needs. Ensures adherence to operational risk and compliance requirements. Ensures that issues impacting client and application user experience, as well as efficiency and productivity are actively mitigated. Partners with RBC Bank Tech Ops, Design Authority, and Quality Engineering team to ensure quality design and implementation of efficient and effective Encompass enhancements and changes. Acts as first point of contact to floor managers and senior management for Encompass related issues, offering accurate and timely responses to questions while providing value added recommendations.

Job Description

What will you do?

Application Management:

  • Subject Matter expert for overall business usage and loan origination functionality of the ICE Encompass application
  • Lead the execution of Encompass Enhancement project as the product owner of the ICE Encompass system change and enhancement backlog and apply business agility methodology to respond to changing business, risk, and compliance needs.
  • Ensure efficient usage, accurate functionality, and optimal performance for the end users of the ICE Encompass application.
  • Actively seeks input from business and stakeholders, including end users, floor managers, risk partners, data operations, etc., to ensure Encompass changes align to existing policies and procedures while retaining a Client Centric and User Centric focus.
  • First point of contact for Encompass functionality issues (incidents), and opportunities (changes) from users and process owners in Real Estate Financing
  • Main point of contact for Vendor Management team for any issues/opportunities to improve vendor relationship and optimize vendor deliverables.
  • Responsible for request and obtain approval for any change/enhancement budget and prepares change requests in response to business needs.
  • Review and provide concurrence on all project requirements that introduce changes to the Encompass application; recommend approval to VP, Real Estate Finance for Implementation Plan and Launch Approval sign-off.
  • Performs all necessary UAT and PIV on implemented ICE Encompass changes.
  • Acts as the Encompass SME for approved initiatives, and assists in performing UAT and PIV for other projects directly / indirectly impacting ICE Encompass
  • Communicate and escalates issues to Director Process Excellence and Program Management, and Real Estate Finance Management team as appropriate.

Operational Excellence:

  • Act as a Voice of Business and Voice of Client, advocate pressing for Operation excellence and process optimization changes through efficient and effective usage of the Encompass application.
  • Assesses ambiguous system processes and provides clarity to team and stakeholders as required.
  • Build and maintain a documentation repository for Encompass, including reusable requirements to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards.
  • Document end state to support training and procedures creation.
  • Challenges and escalates the need for mobilization when presented with compliancy, status quo, or indifference to the quality-of-service delivery and/or the client experience. Drives/oversees timely and effective resolution.
  • Responsible for training of back office on application functionality on an ongoing basis.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Demonstrates strong Encompass Application knowledge
  • Previous experience in Loan Origination/Loan Processing
  • Agile or IWF project delivery experience an asset, Quality Assurance (QA) / Testing experience an asset
  • High attention to detail, Communication skills

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $65,000 - $115,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
