You have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 3 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Fluence and Radiological Analysis Engineer in Lynchburg, VA or Richland, WA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Core Design and Safety Analysis Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit which is responsible for a broad range of activities including conducting fluence analysis of core components, criticality analysis for storage pools, decay heat determinations and dose calculations while using the industry's most advanced tools. The engineering activities are coordinated with other Framatome fuel engineering departments both locally and worldwide. Your work will include:

  • Determining the lifetime impact on components due to calculated fluence values.
  • Calculating the dose due to theoretical accidents and the impact on surrounding areas.
  • Use optimization tools and automation to streamline the analyses.
  • Participate in and support interfaces with customer and regulatory authorities to obtain regulatory approval of the Framatome reactor core design, codes, and methods.
  • Prepare and review safety analyses, calculation files, and associated records.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
