The Communications Manager will be part of a team providing global communication support that spans our diverse international footprint and workforce. This role with report to the VP of Corporate Communications and will work in a hybrid capacity at our Indianapolis, IN facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to think strategically, understand the complex Belden strategy, make recommendations to the business leaders on appropriate communication tactics, and ensure messaging is consistent across the organization.
  • Support implementation of tactics and measurement of success for a variety of business initiatives and communication objectives.
  • Write and edit communications and assist in executing campaigns for various teams such as executive leadership, business updates, strategy, etc.
  • Summarize and write powerful key messaging that inspires action.
  • Utilize Salesforce for internal email communications.
  • Coordinate between social media and marketing as needed for consistent messaging internally and externally.
  • Research and update SharePoint pages on global intranet site for employee use.
  • Follow Belden's brand identity guide when developing print and web-based internal communications and presentations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5 or more years of corporate communications experience, preferably for a global publicly traded company
  • Bachelor's degree in a field such as communications, journalism, public relations or a related field
  • Strong business writing skills (provide samples upon request)
  • Ability to build relationships and influence while supporting cross-functional needs
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to think strategically as well as operate at a tactical level
  • Solid business and communications acumen, creativity and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills, comfort with ambiguity and excitement for fast-paced atmosphere
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines when needed
  • Occasional business travel required
