GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Learning & Development Manager leads the design, preparation, and delivery of training and development programs for company leadership and employees. Joins in partnership with leadership and human resources to assess and implement organizational development programs, processes, and training initiatives to support organizational goals and strategies. Drives leadership and professional development, both in group and individualized settings, and creates and delivers content, methods, and materials for training and development. Monitors program effectiveness and adjusts accordingly to achieve desired training and development goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, develop, and implement learning and development programs aligned to organizational goals and strategy, in order to equip leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively lead and drive exceptional performance. Develop similar tools and programs for employees to enhance and strengthen their professional development.
  • Drive the vision and strategy for leadership and professional development. Connect with stakeholders from executive leadership down in order to understand skill gaps and conduct needs assessments to identify critical areas of opportunity for developmental improvements.
  • Collaborate as needed with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training content.
  • Utilize a range of learning methods and instructional techniques, such as live group instruction, one-on-one leadership coaching, internal online training platform coursework, vendor-driven e-learning, etc., to implement learning and development objectives.
  • Facilitate instructor led programs for leadership and employees in a way that provides a high-quality learning experience while achieving desired training objectives.
  • Research, recommend, manage, and maintain relationships with external learning vendors as needed to support learning and development goals.
  • Create and monitor measurements for program effectiveness and provide data-driven insights on the overall engagement, satisfaction, and effectiveness of learning programs.
  • Promote usage and drive continuous improvement of the learning and development programs, and adjust programs as needed to achieve maximum results.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
  • Monitor training budgets and expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$120,000 - $140,000

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bacheloris degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in learning and organizational development or a related field, or 5+ years of experience with a masteris degree.
  • Experience in a defense contractor and/or manufacturing environment is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with KUAS General Safety Training guidelines.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10-25% May be required between KUAS locations.
