FLSA Status:Non exempt

Starting rate:$35.84

Overall Purpose:

Under semi-direct supervision, loads and unloads materials and equipment, operates vehicles and equipment, inspects, makes minor repairs and stores tools.

Job Responsibilities:

Loads and unloads material and equipment, some of which require heavy physical exertion.

Spots materials needed for next day's work.

Sort materials returned from jobs.

Operates vehicles and delivers material and equipment as directed.

Fuels vehicles as needed.

Issue equipment, tools, and supplies as requested and authorized.

Inspect returned tools and equipment to see that they are in good condition and notifies supervisor when repairs are required.

Cleans greases and makes minor repairs to tools and equipment.

Maintains tool room in a clean and orderly condition.

Empties trash and scrap dally.

Performs other work related to the above as required or assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Must be able to pass the company aministered standardized test. (CAST)

One year or more experience in line construction.

Must have appropriate State Driver's License and Medical Card.

Must demonstrate ability to drive vehicles and equipment used in line construction.

Have knowledge of equipment, materials and tools used in line construction.
