Security Engineer
Remote

Bluehawk Consulting is seeking a Security Engineer to support and audit hardware, systems, applications, and environments for our client's business units. We are looking for a team to focus on and support security audit to prepare, audit and ensure success.

Responsibilities

Your knowledge of security best practices for these six areas will be key to guiding teams as they complete the documentation. You must be able to describe:
  • How to document network architecture and data connections for the application.
  • What it means to harden an asset and why vulnerability scanning, and regular patch management are keys to security environments.
  • User rights management and use of secure authorization applications.
  • Correct implementation of authentication methods, encryption of data and data integrity practices.
  • The process for security incident management and the requirement for security even logging and monitoring.
  • Best practices for secure operations, change management, managing data privacy, and legal and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years working as a security engineer with responsibility to implement security measures for applications and infrastructure to meet defined compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of business impact analysis process.
  • Understanding of implementation of protection concepts.
  • Understanding of vulnerability management and security incident management processes.
  • Ability to review and apply security compliance policy to applications and infrastructure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • CISSP Certification desired

Salary Range for this position: $117,000 - $130,500
