Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Materials Planner Scheduler at our global headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ.  As part of the extended Operations leadership team, the position provides an opportunity to fully own and drive our supply planning strategy and enhance the performance and profitability of an already growing brand.  
 
Job Description:

The Materials Planner Scheduler is a critical member of the Operations leadership team, and is the primary owner of master production scheduling, production control, supply strategies, and inventory - all in support of business goals.

Primary Job Duties:
  • Coordinate customer forecasts & orders through to final delivery
  • Maintain master production schedule and align forecast, supply, & demand
  • Monitor daily progress towards achieving production and revenue goals
  • Plan, review and maintain appropriate stock levels for all key raw materials and sub assemblies
  • Implement clear to build tracking for production orders
  • Supply plan both short & long term horizons
  • Develop and maintain resource & capacity models
  • Analysis of material consumption, highlighting discrepancies between forecast, scheduled and actual
  • Monitor WIP and capacity levels
  • Release work orders and track to completion, including monthly clean up activities
  • Forecast material usage based on forecast and prior consumption
  • Manage forecast weekly and load into MRP system
  • Solve material related problems with a proactive approach
  • Create manufacturing work orders to release product to the floor
  • Expedite buy components when applicable
  • Monitor material usage and inventory accuracy
  • Generate reports for delivery schedules and performance
  • Update ERP system with new part number releases per BOM changes
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management best practices, materials management, and MRP/ERP Systems
  • Ability to work cross functionally  and lead process improvements and develop standards/ procedures
  • Ability to work independently and cross functionally to achieve goals while also being able to take direction from others
  • Open-mindedness and willingness to be a team player in a fast-paced team environment
  • Previous experience in procurement/sourcing or international logistics a plus
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean, or project management a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
