Firetrace is a $40M revenue business that designs and assembles fire suppression systems from our 50,000 sq. ft. HQ facility in Scottsdale, Arizona. Currently the business employs 100 people; all functions are based in Scottdale, except for the sales team, which is spread throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa and Southeast Asia. Firetrace has been part of Halma plc (LSE: HLMA) since 2014 and has ambitious growth plans. The growth of the business has put a strain on the manufacturing and supply chain, and the company is not fully utilizing its ERP system (Great Plains) to full effect. As a key member of the management team, the ERP Systems Analyst will interact with all stakeholders to identify issues, assess options and implement ERP system changes and upgrades that maximize performance (profitability and customer satisfaction). Responsibilities:
Assess the configuration and use of the current ERP and develop a work plan to optimize system performance
Interact across functions to identify issues and design best practices within the ERP framework
Create and execute project plans using appropriate tools and methodologies
Design custom reporting utilizing SQL, Management Reporter and other tools as needed
Liaise as required with VARs, but reduce reliance on external consultants
Document SOPs and train colleagues on proper work flows
Ensure data integrity by conducting ongoing data analysis and maintenance in conjunction with Finance
Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting related to the ERP system
Maintain in inventory barcoding system (HighJump) and its integration with Great Plains
Initial anticipated workplan deliverables:
Utilize ERP and business knowledge to implement best-in-class materials and manufacturing management to enable purchasing and shop floor production plans
Establish best practice routines and reporting to ensure real-time inventory record integrity
Efficient workflow configuration of Great Plains system
Secondary anticipated workplan deliverables:
Inventory reduction planning
Forecasting
Engineering BOM management and change control
Labor efficiency reporting and capacity planning
Parameter optimization for profitability / cashflow improvement
Longer term outbound supply optimization
Person specification:
Experience working within manufacturing / assembly environment using ERP
Demonstrable track record of system usage to deliver business improvement
Ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion
Ability to work across various functions, and synthesize different business needs
Great Plains experience preferred, but not essential.
Understanding of ERP design principles AND ability to learn GP specifics is a must
