Promontory Financial Group, an IBM Company, is looking for an intern to join the Communications & Marketing team in Washington, D.C. The position is responsible for helping to support the functioning of this team, which is in charge of the firm’s global communications, marketing, and brand positioning. This position will help support all the technical needs of the Communications & Marketing Department, including the client relationship management system, the firm's website, intranet, and e-marketing platforms.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with digital marketing and communication platforms
• Updates client relationship management system
• Researches relevant news stories and update Excel spreadsheets
• Updates the firm's website and intranet
• Helps with client PowerPoint presentations, both graphics and content
• Supports various writing tasks from bios to marketing collateral

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Graphic design and desktop publishing skills, including expertise using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), a plus
• Experience with website management
• Experience with digital and multimedia assets, including e-marketing templates, and motion graphics a plus
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to prioritize
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop collaborative working relationships
• Strong writing, editing, and document formatting skills, with attention to detail

Education

• In pursuit of university degree in journalism, marketing, or other communications-related discipline.
