SoCalGas offers exciting, hands-on training from skilled professionals in a variety of locations. If you are currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a 4-year college or university with at least 3 semesters remaining before graduation you could be eligible. We look for bachelor's degree candidates with engineering majors. This is a year-round part time position and requires reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities: Working directly with our Account Executives, the intern will contact commercial and industrial customers to conduct energy audits at their facilities, document gas and electric equipment, making recommendations on energy efficiency use and informing customers about Gas Company programs and services. Follow up site visits or post audits to verify energy saving measures the customer has acted on. Document energy savings at the facilities.

This position reports to the Commercial/Industrial Services Manager.

Undergraduate at a 4-year college or university

Chemical and Mechanical Engineering majors preferred.

• Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Must have at least three semesters remaining before graduation
• Ability to work year-round with 16-20 hours per week or up to 40 hours per week during school breaks (flexible with school schedule)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and/or marketing skills
• Good computer skills
• Good analytical skills
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
