Job Summary:

The Finance Intern will assist the Cost and Budget Team with publishing the monthly internal reporting package to functional leadership for the month end process. The Intern will also assist General Accounting with the annual internal fixed asset audit. This role will also support several improvement initiatives in the Finance department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the monthly reporting package and provide analytical support during the month end close process.
  • Participate in the Fixed Asset Audit by managing audit schedule and working with subject matter experts to identify assets.
  • Assist updating and improving planning schedules for the upcoming budget year
  • Satisfy ad hoc project and analysis requests
  • Support Accounts Receivable and Payable team with daily transactions and tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • Sophomore or Junior status pursuing a major in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of prior work experience
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with willingness to learn advanced applications
  • Quick learner with the ability to follow processes to complete tasks without errors
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members to provide status of tasks, methods used to complete such tasks, and identify problems as they arise
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
